Business Development Manager

We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join a boutique advisory firm active in financial and legal consulting. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of corporate advisory services and a proven ability to open new markets, build partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
Your Role
In this newly created position, you will play a key part in accelerating the firm's development and strengthening its presence across Belgium. Your responsibilities will include:
Enhancing the visibility and performance of existing service lines, particularly in areas such as corporate transactions and conflict-related advisory.
Proactively identifying emerging market opportunities and developing tailored approaches to reach potential clients.
Designing and rolling out business development initiatives aligned with the company’s growth roadmap.
Building long-term partnerships with corporate decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
Coordinating with internal experts to shape value-driven commercial proposals and marketing strategies.
Acting as a brand ambassador at key industry forums, professional events, and networking platforms.
Exploring untapped markets and creating entry points to expand the firm’s client base.

Your Background
Professional experience: Minimum 5 years in a business development, sales or client-facing role within a legal, financial or advisory context. You bring credibility and insight into complex services such as governance consulting, shareholder matters, family business structuring, and corporate finance.
Business acumen: You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You are able to spot market gaps and translate them into concrete business initiatives. A well-developed network in the Belgian business ecosystem is a definite plus.
Relationship skills: You communicate with clarity and impact, and excel at building trust-based relationships across various stakeholder levels.
Leadership mindset: You are self-driven, confident in managing cross-functional efforts, and willing to challenge the status quo when needed.
Languages: You are fluent in either Dutch or French and have a strong command of the other (minimum C1 level), as your responsibilities span Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia.
