Solutions Delivery Manager - GS1 Global Office
Bridge strategy and execution: transform complex standards into usable solutions and help GS1 teams and members deploy them consistently across markets.
The Solutions Delivery Manager plays a central role in turning ideas into real solutions. The position sits between the teams that understand industry needs, the teams that shape GS1 products and services, and the teams that develop the underlying technical components. Your work ensures that these different perspectives come together in a way that creates solutions GS1 Member Organisations and industry can use.
This role blends business analysis, solution design and structured delivery. It suits someone who can understand how standards, tools, and data services translate into real-world implementation — and who enjoys creating clarity, structure and consistency across multiple workstreams.
You will also work closely with GS1 Member Organisations around the world, capturing what works in practice and turning those learnings into clear, reusable materials such as implementation guides, templates, demo kits, checklists and readiness tools that support consistent rollout.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Help connect GS1’s core standards, tools, and data services into solutions that can be deployed in the real world. Work closely with teams who understand market needs, teams who build GS1 products and data services, and technical teams who maintain platforms and data models—making sure all components work together as a coherent offer.
- Translate business, regulatory, sector, and technical inputs into clear solution requirements and implementation flows. Clarify what needs to be built, how it fits together, and what GS1 Member Organisations need in order to roll it out successfully.
- Ensure alignment across teams and avoid duplication. Keep stakeholders coordinated, highlight cross-functional dependencies early, and help maintain a single, coherent GS1 offer rather than isolated or overlapping efforts.
- Support the full Solutions Delivery lifecycle — from defining a need to piloting, learning, and preparing for scale. Coordinate inputs from programme, sector, product, policy, and technical teams to ensure readiness at each stage and consistent progression through the lifecycle.
- Support solution pilots and early-adopter activities. Help prepare materials for testing, track outcomes, and synthesise insights to refine the solution before federation-wide deployment.
- Work directly with GS1 Member Organisations to understand how GS1 solutions perform. Capture what works (and what doesn’t), document lessons learned and help transform them into guidance others can reuse.
- Develop and maintain practical implementation materials. Produce and update rollout frameworks, readiness assessments, checklists, implementation guides, templates, demo kits, FAQs and other assets that help MOs deploy solutions consistently.
- Bring structure, clarity, and consistency to how solutions are packaged and scaled. Help ensure each solution can be reused across markets, not built from scratch in each country.
Education/experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in solution delivery, business analysis, consulting, or project coordination in a standards, technology, or data-sharing environment.
- Experience translating standards, rules, tools, or data services into practical implementation steps for customers, partners, or internal teams.
- Experience with structured rollout approaches (e.g., implementation frameworks, readiness assessments, phased deployments, pilot-to-scale models).
- Ability to analyse needs, identify gaps and define clear delivery recommendations.
- Familiarity with APIs, data models, interoperability concepts, or technical documentation is beneficial (hands-on engineering not required).
- Experience coordinating work across multiple teams or functions in complex environments.
Must Have
- Ability to translate between business, operational, and technical stakeholders and create shared understanding.
- Capability to turn complex concepts into clear, actionable implementation materials.
- Ability to synthesise inputs from multiple sources—programme teams, product/technical teams, customers, sectors, pilots—into a unified delivery view.
- Strong skills in coordination, planning, and dependency management across teams.
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
- Ability to work confidently in a multicultural, globally distributed environment.
- Strong organisational discipline, ability to manage multiple workstreams, and comfort with time-zone spread.
- A customer-focused approach with accountability, follow-through and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with GS1 standards, identifiers, or data services.
- Experience working in federated organisations or with distributed implementation networks.
- Experience collaborating with sector-facing or regulatory teams (e.g., retail, marketplaces, healthcare, sustainability).
This job may require up to 10% global travel.
